Was born, most likely in Zuelz and not in Neisse, in 1766; at a time when Jews were not permitted to reside in that city. He came to Katscher, in the District of Leobschuetz, sometime before 1792 and married, in 1793. He was a brewer by trade and seems to have done fairly well, inspite of the close competition (seven other brewers in the same small town). Another Neisser (Simon) also was among the brewers, also resided in Katscher and may possibly have been a first cousin. Aaron died in Katscher on 8 Oct. 1839, and was buried there. His father was Abraham, perhaps a brother of Mendel, the father of Simon. Aaron was naturalized a Prussian citizen on 24 August 1812.
Was Aaron's wife. She was born in 1774 in Neu-Katscher, just outside the city of which
it is now a mere suburb. It seems that the Jews could not live in the city of Katscher,
but were tolerated outside the walls. She was the daughter of Aaron BREIT. Katharina
died on 9 Oct. 1842.
